Most old windows are replaced in renovation fitting: the old frame stays, trimmed and covered, and the new window sits inside it. It is quick and clean, but you lose a few centimetres of glass. When the frame is rotten or the light matters, we take everything out, frame included, and fit against the masonry. We tell you which one suits your house, and why.

Good to know

In a home completed more than two years ago, windows that reach the required thermal performance are invoiced at 5.5% VAT. Since 1 September 2026, MaPrimeRénov' no longer funds replacing windows on their own: they remain eligible within a whole-house renovation carried out by RGE-certified businesses. An energy savings premium (CEE) is still possible when the new windows replace single glazing.

Changing the material, colour or glazing bars of your windows alters the look of the facade: a prior declaration must be filed with the town hall first. We tell you when it applies and help you fill it in.
